ITA – Venerdì scorso abbiamo festeggiato Anni e Willem con pane carasau e qualche birra (rigorosamente Ichunsa!) chiacchierando di Cagliari, del perché l’abbiano scelta come tappa del loro viaggio in giro per il mondo e dei posti che hanno visitato in queste settimane.
Anni e Willem sono due supereroi dell’email marketing e del telemarketing – come racconta il loro sito aziendale – e hanno trascorso con noi le prime due settimane di novembre: arrivavano da Firenze e ora staranno a Roma per un po’. Partiti dalla Germania, da Amburgo dove ha sede la loro società, passeranno il prossimo anno in giro con i loro computer e il cane Phoenix, in assoluto il coworker più coccolato di tutta la storia di Open Campus.
Anni e Willem non sono i primi nomadi digitali che ospitiamo tra le nostre scrivanie, ma grazie a loro abbiamo iniziato a mettere in fila tutto quello che ci piace di questo tipo di esperienza e soprattutto quello che la Sardegna, Cagliari in particolare, sono in grado di offrire.
La lista sarebbe ben più lunga e ci aspettiamo di aggiornarla insieme ai prossimi ospiti, però oggi diciamo che:
- ci piacciono le persone che fanno scelte coraggiose, che prendono le loro cose e vanno a scoprire il mondo e che nel farlo passano a trovarci, portando il loro carico di esperienze e portandosi via qualcosa di noi, magari per raccontarlo a chi incontreranno nella loro prossima destinazione;
- ci piace lo scambio: l’inglese che si mescola alle mezze frasi in italiano, ai gesti, alle risate per quella parola che hai sulla punta della lingua ma non vuole venir fuori;
- ci piace Cagliari, il modo in cui ci viene raccontata da chi decide di sceglierla, anche solo per un po’, e stando qui capisce di aver fatto la scelta giusta. Non solo perché c’è il mare ed è innegabilmente bella, ma per le possibilità che dà, per tutto quello che ha rappresentato, negli ultimi 25 anni, per chi come noi lavora in ambito digitale e per quello che adesso è in grado di offrire;
- ci piacciono Anni, Willem, Phoenix e tutti quelli come loro. Accoglierli nella nostra community, scoprire come ci hanno trovato, farli sentire a casa e magari iniziare a collaborare con loro.

EN – Last Friday we had a beer with Anni and Willem, and of course it was Ichnusa beer! We had the opportunity to chat about Cagliari, the reason why they chose it as a stop on their trip around the world and about other places they visited in the past weeks.
Anni and Willem are two superheroes of email marketing and telemarketing – as their company website tells – and they spent the first two weeks of November with us: they came from Florence and now they’ll stay in Rome for a while. They left Hamburg, in Germany, where their company is based, to spend the next year around with their computers and their dog Phoenix: the most adorable coworker we have ever knew.
Of course they are not the first digital nomads that we are hosting among our desks, but thanks to them we have started to line up all the things we love about this kind of experience and especially what Sardinia and Cagliari in particular are able to offer.
The list would be much longer and we expect to update it with the next guests, but for now we want to say that:
- we like people who make courageous choices, who take their things and go to discover the world;
- we like the fact they choose to stay with us, bringing their experiences and taking away something of us, maybe to tell it to those who they will meet in their next destination;
- we like the language exchange: English gets mixed with a lot of half-sentences in Italian, gestures, laughs and words on the tip of your tongue;
- we like Cagliari, the way it’s seen by those who decide to choose it, even if only for a bit. We like their happiness gave it by living in Cagliari, not only because the sea or because it is an undeniably beautiful city, but for the great possibilities that Cagliari gives to those who work in the digital field;
- We like Anni, Willem and Phoenix the dog, and everyone like them. We like welcoming them in our community, finding out how they found us, making them feel at home and maybe starting to collaborate with them.
